Global innovation: Stanserhorn cabriolet

The Stanserhorn cabriolet is the first cableway worldwide with an open upper deck, making it quite unique. As a comfortable double-decker aerial tramway, it is an absolute novelty in cable car technology. The lower deck holds 60 passengers and provides them with a panorama view thanks to its full-length glazing. A centrally located, elegant spiral staircase leads upwards to the completely free sun deck. In this way about 30 passengers enjoy an unlimited open air experience and enjoy the fresh airstream directly. Both gondolas shuttle on two laterally arranged suspended cables – also an innovation.
